Michael Meskes has worked in open-source his whole career. He started and ran credativ, an open source company that is now part of NetApp, where Michael leads the same group of open source enthusiasts works on improving open source within NetApp. He started working on open-source in 1993 and is still active as a developer and committer in several open source projects. He has engaged in significant open-source evangelism and teaches open-source infrastructure at a local university.
